Onboarding Weblife

Weblife was a cloud-based proxy browser that kept corporate users safe online, but it created a confusing "browser within a browser" experience with two URL bars that left 25,000 users across 27 countries completely baffled.

In 2017, as the solo designer, I redesigned the onboarding experience, starting with an activation email that explained what was happening, redesigning the browser homepage with a welcoming 3-step tutorial that made the dual interface feel natural instead of broken, and designing a non-intrusive bottom navigation that gave people the help they needed without overwhelming them.

Weblife was acquired by Proofpoint in late 2017, just months after the redesign launched.
